Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

The Evi Mono Awards competition is open to professional and amateur visual artists who use all forms of black-and-white photography and other visual arts.

The competition is open to individuals over the age of 18, excluding employees of the competition organisers, their affiliated companies, and employees of companies sponsoring competition prizes.

Members of the judging panel are not allowed to participate in the competition.


2. Participation Requirements

To enter, you must submit your entry via the website: www.evimonoawards.com, following the instructions displayed on the site.

By entering the competition, you consent to the processing of your registration data by the competition organisers.


3. Publication of Materials

The Evi Mono Awards organisers may publish any materials you submit, upload, email, or otherwise send to the site at their discretion. Organisers may make changes to these materials before publishing them.

Any work submitted to the competition may be used by Evi Mono Awards and its media partners for marketing and promotional purposes related to the competition. You grant Evi Mono Awards a non-exclusive, irrevocable license to use your visual works worldwide in the competition. However, all copyright in your work remains with you.


Winners and honourable mentions will be announced on the website www.evimonoawards.com


4. General Terms

The competition accepts only black-and-white works and other forms of visual arts in monochromatic or black-and-white shades.

Works that have won other competitions or are submitted to other ongoing competitions may participate in the Evi Mono Awards.

There are no restrictions on the time or date the works were created.


5. File Specifications

• Colour space: sRGB or Adobe98, 8-bit;

• Longest dimension of the image: 1200 pixels;

• Saved as JPEG with setting 10 (100%) or higher;

• No watermarks, copyright marks, or logos on images;• No frames (bleed).


6. Requirements for Winners

Winners must be able to provide a high-resolution digital file (minimum 3000px width @300dpi), which will be used only for confirmation of the rights to the work. Winners who do not meet these requirements will be disqualified without the possibility of appeal.

Winners must also submit a high-resolution file for inclusion in the annual Evi Mono Awards competition album.


7. Ownership Rights

All submitted works must be the original creations of the artist and must not infringe the rights of third parties. The participant must be the sole owner of the copyright for all works and must obtain consent from individuals depicted in the works (or their legal guardians if the works feature children under the age of 16).


8. Copyright and Image Usage


Copyright for the images always remains with the visual artists.


Authors of winning visual works grant Evi Mono Awards a non-exclusive right to use the high-resolution images in all media, including social media, the internet, and print, solely for the purposes of the competition and its promotion, without compensation.


Authors of images grant Evi Mono Awards the non-exclusive right to use low-resolution images on our website, without compensation.

The works will be used only in connection with the Evi Mono Awards competition and will not be used for other marketing purposes. The works will not be resold or used by third parties. If such a request arises, it will be forwarded to the author of the visual work by email.


Winners of the competition consent to their visual works being promoted on social media (including official competition profiles, e.g., Facebook).


9. Announcement of Results

By participating, you agree to take part in promotional activities related to the competition and to allow your name and visual works to be used for advertising, promotional, and public purposes related to the competition without additional compensation.


10. Liability

Evi Mono Awards and its media partners are not responsible for any improper use of the works by third parties.


Each work used by the Evi Mono Awards will be credited to the author.


11. Prizes

Monetary prizes will be paid in EUR via PayPal. Fees related to international transfers will be deducted from the prize amount. The prize cannot be substituted.


12. Judging Criteria

Entries will be judged by selected judges.

Entries will be assessed based on artistic value, originality, theme, and style.

The decision of the Evi Mono Awards is final.


13. Cookies

14. Data Protection

We respect your privacy. As part of our data protection policy, we offer you:

15. Cancellation of Annual Subscription

You have the right to cancel your annual subscription to the competition at any time, without providing a reason. To cancel, simply contact us via the contact form on the website or send an email to our address.
